World Water Day 2016: Better Water - Better Jobs

To mark the World Water Day (WWD) 2016, PCRWR in collaboration with the multi-stakeholders i.e. World Health Organization (WHO), UNESCO, Economic Cooperation Organization Science Foundation (ECOSF), National Rural Support Programme (NRSP), International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA), and Riphah International University organized an awareness seminar on March 30 focusing on the theme 'Better Water – Better Jobs'.

Water Awareness Walk held on "World Water Day-2016"

This was stated by Chairman The Consumers Eye Pakistan (TCEP), Umar Ghauri while leading ‘Water Awareness Walk’ from Zainab Market Saddar to Karachi Press Club on occasion of the World Water Day 2016, This year’s theme is: Water and jobs. The walk was jointly organized by The Consumers Eye Pakistan-TCEP and Consumer Voice Pakistan, said a statement on Tuesday.

Islamabad: As the world celebrates World Water Day today (March 22), Pakistan is ranked 10th among the top 10 countries with regard to the numbers of people living without access to safe water. According to WaterAid’s report titled ‘Water: At What Cost? The State of the World’s Water 2016,’ there are 16.096 million people living without access to safe water in Pakistan.
